I often wake up around this time and can't get back to sleep. I don't know if if it's normal or if this is just me but I find that if I'm awake early morning I lay there mulling over things that have been said or done that have upset me and getting angry about them. Also recent events can trigger similar memories from the past, I always seem to think about bad stuff when I can't sleep
Nights and early mornings can be a !!!!!! for doing this to people.
Best thing to do is get up for a little while rather than lay thinking.
Sending hugs to all those needing them at the moment. :AN1LDA0 -
Good morning everyone hope today is good to us all0

There are lots of techniques you can try. Might be worth googling some of this Evangeline as it can be heavy going
Distraction techniques
Controlled breathing
Mindfulness
Using imagery to reduce stress
Relaxation tapes.....Andrew Johnson has a Better Sleep App which costs £1.99 from the App Store
Exercise and diet.
Sorry but rushing a little....good luck xTo do is to be. Rousseau

Also keep technology out of the bedroom:D
Separate your bedroom from daytime. No TVs lappy etc or your mind can become overactive and sleep becomes impossible:o:)To do is to be. Rousseau

No full of the joys of spring, never went back to bed. If it gets warmer today I have about 30 primroses to bed out so being outside should reset my body clock.
I know that as you get older you are supposed to need less sleep but I just thought it meant waking at 4 or 5 in the morning, not that you only need to sleep 5 nights out of 7 :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I wish you and your family a positive time ahead. Not got your eloquence with words but hugs.0
