Mr Tinyshoes now does Tai Chi now, a good school that does not do just the gentle form but he worked up from that and is sure it has helped strengthen his back but you have to do what is right for you and what you are told. ;)

He had a moderate prolapsed disc which he was told if he carried on with the manual work he did would completely collapse or something like that. I can remember him being in agony seems a lifetime away now. Thank goodness.

I see u mentioned Mr ts had a prolapsed disc the docs are telling me L1,2 and other discs are gone and it is bone to bone and an operation could make things worse.

They are sending me back to physio again to see if it will help but as far as work goes i cannot sit in the office or a machine, i can't walk around sites as this will all make me worse. When i asked what i could do the surgeon just shrugged his shoulders. Then the doc tells me today that my back is really bad and painkillers with physio is the only way forward. maybe work in here finding glitches like deedee etc as i do have time on my side.:)

Sound like going back to physio is a good starting point. :)

Mr TS took a standing job to start with very low pay as like you could not tolerate sitting down for long but now works in an office sitting. The physios gave him lots of help with that and pretty sure he had to have a special chair not sure if he still does and he has couple of lumbar supports he still uses now, one in the car.

Glitches have kept me off work for few years now, it can be done, no way could I have afforded to stay at home and look after my mum without them. :)

    Good luck, stay positive. :A

I meant a watch, but I think that was invented earlier. Cameras?

    Good answer.

    It was the word "hello".

People needed a word to use on the telephone when you didn't know if it was morning or afternoon where you were speaking to them so you couldn't say "good morning" or "good afternoon". Alexander Graham Bell wanted us to say "Ahoyhoy" and Edison invented "hello". And it then became a general greeting too.:)

He was lucky cookie only the one, it was lumbar like yours but as I mentioned was found before complete collapse sounds like yours is at the next stage or two from his. Don't rule out an op, plenty of successes, see what the physios can do to make you more comfortable first.

Off to bed now, my lounge looks like a charity shop with all the clothes in piles and hung everywhere. Must get up earlyish. Actually who am I kidding? :o :rotfl:

    Goodnight cookie and all. x

You must not feel guilty, you have to look after yourself too otherwise you will be no good to anyone. Just relax and enjoy, probably easier said than done though. ;) :A
