We should get into the local as we are in the catchment. They've just had major building work and extensions - to hold 3 classes of 30  It's gigantic. DS is currently in a class of 9
Unfortunately 30 a class is about the average now.
The other school in my area has merged first and middle school so it's now quite large.N1LDA0 -
Neither are in the meal deal, but seeing that Tesco can't be bothered to put the correct wines near the matching food, I just picked my own 4 bottles that would compare in my favor.
The discount didn't come off for the meal deal, so after a little faffing at CS I was refunded the difference and kept the £10pp
Fair play.
And thanks for clearing up the confusion. I would have been rushing out to get 4 bottles of prosecco/meal deals if that was working. :rotfl:0 -

30%? I don't know. Sa said it was because it was over £5 but we all know they don't have a clue and make stuff up, so who knows. :rotfl:N1LDA0 -
Also with the deserts, you must make sure they have the little "£10 dinning for two" tab on the top.
I have been told that by CS while back, got a desert from the meal deal section, SEL was there too and was told I had picked the wrong one as it didn't have the tab on.
It was a particular desert at the time that was not actually in the deal so it should not have been with the meal deals anyway and there were loads stacked there so not like I had just picked up an odd one. I got my DTD after a bit of a discussion.0 -
Right have spent far too long distracting myself with the thought of more cheap wine. :rotfl:
Off to do some RL stuff.0 -
Just been speaking to DD1 and Teeny is in size 3 nappies already.
She has just got to the end of the 3 boxes of size 2s I got last year cheap at Ts. I only bought one box of size 3 and one of each in the next sizes up so she will have to start buying them soon. :rotfl:
Luckily I did also buy 3 cheap packs of size 3s from As last year which she has there as the boxes left are still located here.
SSM have 3 x £1 moc for nappies.
Also £1 mocs for Iams if any use to any one.Fair play.

Sorry to have caused confusionBack to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

a question - I did go to the correct MSE forum but no one seems to hang around there so I thought I might get an answer over here.
Daughters friend has got the Chiltern Railway deal - £1 each on Saturday for 2 of them to travel from London to Birmingham - its was the London Standard offer from a day or so backand nice sensible trains as well
(And they don't have to go into Birmingham New Street which is a nightmare since its been revamped)
The friend is a absolute mad keen scrimper and saver and just loves the deals - she has taken my daughter all around London on Time Put deals seeing free preview films and going to various free events. he used all of her email addresses to register with piture and piano for the monthly free drink promotion etc. Much like us but on a Beroco day.
So I've been wracking my brain to try and think of cheap or free things for them to do in Birmingham on a Saturday. I've checked Groupon and Livingsocial to see if there are any meal deals but nothing city centre. Brum has no John Lewis so no free cake and coffee and no Crabtree so no free hand cream.
I had a look at tourist info websites and it suggested a walk alongside the canal and a visit to the art gallery, great if its cold or wet but neither of which are going to keep 20 something's amused all day.
Of course there is the bull ring and I said its essential to get your photo taken with the bull and to put it on facebook. But they have rather a lot of shops in London as it is.
Please has anyone any suggestions as to free or cheap things to do on a Saturday for 2 twenty something's in Birmingham city centre?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Are the coupons on SSM only available to print once? I've tried using my account and DH's but the computer seems to know if I've already printed something once and won't let me do it again! I was under the impression the coupon printing 'allowance' was refreshed once a month or so, but it seems like once you've done it once, you've had your lot? Unless I'm missing something :huh:0 -

Got to be done! And I'm sure there'll be vouchers available online between now and when they want to go (or is it this Saturday they're going?). DH and I went on a 2-4-1 voucher a couple of years ago and loved it.
ETA: http://www.topdogdays.com/attractions/sea-life-centres 2-4-1 with Aquarian fish food!
ETA2: http://visitbirmingham.com/files/2012-06-26/SEALIFE50offvoucher.pdf
Exp end of March.
ETA3: http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/sealife-centre-birmingham 2-4-1 when you travel by train! I'll stop looking now0
