 at the DrO trouting stories

I explained the promo to the manager of my local store in great detail last year (i got trouted over £1 MOCS so took in the empty boxes for him to see i had bought numerous promo packs and let him read the t &cs)

I specifically warned him about March so we'll see if he remembers. I still have the empty boxes if he doesn't ;)

A madman with pizza boxes:o how could the manager forget:rotfl::rotfl:

My nickname is what my youngest sis always calls me (she couldn't pronounce my real name when she was little) and the kinky boots are a recent addition from yesterday. It's all dave's fault because I mentioned a deal in 'Boots the Chemist' and he subverted it to mean something else entirely - in friendly banter! I was just responding to his jesting - I don't really have any kinky boots (sorry to disappoint you dave) :D

Just had major problem using the Dr. O coupons in my T.:mad:
    Only used 2.
It came up not spent minimum amount.
1st sa, "have you bought the pizzas?"
    Yes.
"You haven't got the right ones"
    I have.
"I'll just go and check the coupons"
She comes back with 2nd sa.
"We don't accept these coupons, they aren't safe coupons"
Yes they are, they are smart coupons with individual barcodes and my name and postcode on.
I then explained all about the DrO promotion and how I had bought all the promotional boxes in T.
They tried to put them through again.
"Ah that's the problem, they aren't for use in here, they are only for use in small shops. These coupons are for pizzas that are £2-79, our pizzas are £2-99"
I have used other Dr O coupons in here without a problem.
"Well you will have to keep your receipt and come back tomorrow and speak to someone else about them"
No, I am not coming back tomorrow, can I speak to the manager please.
    Eventually a supervisor appears.
    "We don't accept these coupons"
Told her about the Dr O promotion.
She scrutinises the coupons and one of the pizzas.
"This isn't the right coupon for this pizza as the barcodes don't match"
    They don't have to match.
"Yes they do, all coupons barcodes have to match the barcode of the product"
I think she realised then that I was getting slightly irate!!:mad:
"As a goodwill gesture I will put them through on this occasion, but don't try to use any more in here because they wont be accepted"

This saga took 25 minutes, so by the time I got home, the pizzas had defrosted!!!

I shall be on the phone to T. head office tomorrow and also Dr.O!!

 they're usually so good in there as well. Ive just this minute got back. No room in my freezers for pizza yet so I wasn't buying. I'm really glad because I had DS2 with me.....that would have been fun!
Sale clothes are worth a scan in there. Lots scanning cheaper than the marked prices ;)

    Afternoon all :)

I'm heading for a food coma after an extreme foodgasm. Dropped off some cakes and got a lovely piece of chocolate pavlova with raspberries in exchange, then headed off to Brick Lane. Did the MSE thing of waiting in my car for 10 minutes rather than paying a quid for parking and then bought a hot salted beef bagel. I could quite easily sleep all afternoon now :)

Hope you're all having relaxing Sundays!

Anyone who is visiting Next or a Next outlet. Have a look for little cards on the counter at the tills. All you do is fill in your email address (no other details needed) and you get a unique code for £10 off a £15 spend online. If you already have an account use a different email address.
I got one when I was in the outlet the other day so I went to another next today and got another one. :money:

ETA just looked at the finer details. Valid until 8th March. 1 code per customer, max of 2 per household
