Wait till the end of the night and if it's still like that, I'll hit the road:D:j.

Yes, quite a number of us on here have huge stashes. Although if we are paying pennies for the items that may be a little different, but it can become too obsessive and get out of control. And, in my case, add Asperger's to the mix and you have a potential disaster (Asperger's is characterised by 'strong obsessive interest in a narrow area'). Some can be obsessive compulsive (where their obsession is something they dislike but are forced to do) but Asperger obsession differs because it's something you like doing and actually makes you keep physically well. (I've oversimplified of course:D, I'm also no psychologist or medical doctor and different views may exist within the medical profession.) It's possible to have both OCD and Asperger's at the same time. With me, my level of (academic) intelligence acts as a brake on that getting out of control - it also isn't saving money if it's not getting used and then has to be chucked out. At least you have the crates in an organised fashion though, and not making it impossible to move about the house like obsessive hoarders.

I still do that now (buy one item when it's on bogo'f'). It's perfect sense - for example, when the item at the competitor is on less than half the price (of the individual price in the bogo'f').

It's about using mbuys. Buying the quantity required for the competitor's offer and ignoring the offers in the store you are in. That quantity may be 1, even (or especially?) where the store you're in has a bogo'f'.

This is an area I enjoy in my shopping. Buying a different pack size, that's on better offer per unit at the rival, and therefore cheaper, rather than the pack size that's on offer in your store. Or doing the 'hidden' multibuy. I sometimes go off buying three or four cans of a product (doing "the T mbuy offer in Mr A") while other shoppers look around bemused wondering whether there is a special offer on and why I am getting several when it doesn't appear there is! (More fool them!:rotfl:) Then I'll miss off a multibuy if it's on better than half price elsewhere. It's quite enjoyable!:D

Yesterday (or rather Sunday;)) - don't copy this as it's now expired - I ignored the Bird's Eye SF Chicken 4 pack in Mr S (on "special" at £1.62) and picked the 'ordinary' Bird's Eye Chicken 4 pack - £3.25 in S (in between the offers all around it:rotfl:) as that was on at £1.62 in T:rotfl: (with cond. spend off my S shop). So - if this were T, buy the Southern Fried version at £3.25(?) (vs Sains £1.62) and, last Sunday now off, the other chicken in Sains at £3.25 to BM to T.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: T vs Sains and Sains vs T:rotfl::D! It's sort of a bit of a more devious, and more exciting, way of shopping.:rotfl::D I remember that little Ambrosia porridge pot on the A glitches!:A

Oh, the Tecso DTD. Having to find the B1G1F offers, and only buying one, was great fun seeing the trouts faces when you said you only wanted one even though they were on offer. I took greater pleasure in it because I despise multibuy offers (apart from glitching ones) as its so obvious they have just inflated the prices.

Sometimes the bogo'f's can be more decent ... and then I'd be buying two in the competitor!:D Or possibly more if there's a glitch too - e.g. 6 Activia vs T bogo'f' (that, as well, looking now sadly about to expire as T's offer due until 25/2).

How did you miss that savvy?
I know. I just wasn't 'into it' then:(. Came along and joined you all when it finally hit me with the gift sets just before the following Christmas. At least I've been clawing it back (trying to claw it back) ever since:D.

[Edit: :rotfl::rotfl: Oh, :rotfl: it's a spelling typo.:rotfl: Reason I missed that was I was writing all of what is now below and hadn't just gone back to my post and noticed it (and I would have noticed it of course - I would never fail to:D).]

Newsflash: Gel's not gelling like they used to!!!

I don't know if this has been reported but the shaving gel isn't comparing as favourably as it was! For two, it was previously £5.96 v £3.50. Today (at 16:44) it's £5 v £3.50

Instore, they still cost 2 for £3

So the current cost is £1.15 for 2. Cheap enough to keep them, but I don't think I'll get anymore. My stock of 8 will keep me going for ages!!!

8 items (7 different) on your bill qualify for comparison ASDA Sainsbury's
    +£1.48

    0.11 x ASDA Onions per kg £0.08 N/A
    1 x Willow Vegetable Fat Spread (250g) £1.00 £1.00
    0.15 x ASDA Bananas per kg £0.10 N/A
    0.1 x ASDA Carrots per kg £0.09 £0.09
0.08 x ASDA Mushrooms by Weight per kg £0.21 £0.22
    0.01 x ASDA Root Ginger per kg £0.02 £0.03
    1 x Haribo Starmix £0.10 £0.10
    1 x Haribo Tangfastics £0.10 £0.10
    2 x Gillette Series Gel Conditioning (200ml) £5.00 £3.50

Comparison total (compared products only) £6.52 £5.04

Due to the individual price going down:(. Much better when they were £2.98 or Any 2 for £3.00. I need an individual price increase!:D:(

Someone posted about the spreadsheet yesterday (Monday), but I can't now find your post:o - apologies. Ah yes, the spreadsheet! You know what - I'll let you in on something - those spreadsheets, the inspiration behind my lists!

You also said it was more complex and everything no longer in one place. Back on DTD price check of course (which basically made the APG scheme worthless - no point shopping in A when T were giving it away), it was just one comparison, Tvs A. Now (with the APG long back in the mix), there's loads of different options and I almost never reach them all:(:(. Sadly not everything would fit into one post and it would get (even more?) confused if different comps. were in the same post. Now, if I had lots of posts in a row, it could be more together. But I hardly ever get time to complete each one each time. Maybe if I stopped replying and just did the lists...?? But I do like the other involvement too - and certainly wouldn't be able to post some of the glitches if I had no time to (that time going to just doing the lists). I like the variety of it all:rotfl::rotfl: (lol as autistic people aren't supposed to like variety e.g. change - but as long as I dictate when my variety changes...:rotfl::D...).

At least you do get the references in my sigs. to where the last lists can be found (or will once more appear on - as if by magic:rotfl::D) - the Tvs A list (check the A prices in case of change but not that old), to which add the Princes Wild Pink (I was going to add even before Monday night's conversations, I thought about it after I'd logged off last night). Reference to the post for Tvs A is, of course, the previous thread (about the 'big burgers' - I find Google 'Elite big burgers' does the trick).

At the moment, new lists are awaiting imminent price changes (today/tomorrow for T and Tuesday night for Mr S) - until then I don't see point of looking for more Svs T for example until I have caught up with the new T offers and, likewise, Avs S and Tvs S are awaiting changes on Wednesday morning. Coupled with that - :(:(I'm being taken out for something else on Wednesday night (again:(). But I'll search tomorrow (oops, today, Tuesday evening) to see if there's anything 'strange' or of curiosity:D and same on Thursday together with saving stuff into the private-version of the lists. I might finally get round to posting new lists on Friday evening:rotfl::rotfl:. I'll try for something Tuesday (i.e. tonight) evening, perhaps, sorry N.Ireland, catching up with new Morries offers on msm.

And with that, that leads me to the end of the night - good morning etc., I'll have to leave now and see you later! Bye folks!:A:smileyhea

Mumto2monkeys, it was the 430g or 340g jars, not the very big ones. They are located near the tinned/ cartons of tomatoes. They are in the garage so can't check now, sorry.

Thank you for new thread, lutzi.
