    Hi everyone,
I'm a long time MSEer and avid follower of the Grabit board but had never noticed this thread before today. However, the 'filler, filler, filler' title in the 'expired' section caught my eye and I wandered in for a nosey! Having had a quick scan through the first and last couple of pages, it looks like a great community and one I'd like to become part of if that's OK.

I found the OP very helpful with all the info on acronyms etc - even though I've been part of MSE for years I still don't know/remember them all so many thanks for that. However, one thing that did make me smile was the fact that we have dh, ds and dd by no dw (dear wife). Does this mean that all our lovely dh's are too shy :o to use such a term of endearment? :D

Finally, (sorry for the long first post in here) I have a question (hope it doesn't sound too stupid):
I've read the posts containing lists of items that trigger the price matching between the major supermarkets but cannot for the life of me fathom how this saves money as (by my logic, which must be wrong so I'd really appreciate some help in understanding) I can't see how, for example, spending £25 in Asda and then getting a voucher for £5 off my next shop because the same items in Tesco would have cost me £20 has actually saved me any more money than going to Tescos would have in the first place IYSWIM. Please can someone explain how the price matching lists work?

Many of us on here have them :D Nerfy has about 6 some of them dress as builders and carpet fitters though ;)
    Welcome
