Still ongoing ..... nearly 2 years,being compliant, MP assisting ....having to go on here a lot to cope ..... Perhaps I should give it a rest and let the future bring what it will.....I must have bored everybody to distraction going on about it.0

I will not bore people with all the details because I have written about it before, but in short I put myself in a very difficult situation by marrying my husband who was on CSA1 because at the time I didn't understand the implications. I had been widowed so there was no one else supporting my children and no 'pot of money' to support them. Liked Cally I had welcomed my step children and I do not blame them for the problems, they had an absolute right to be supported by their dad. The PWC applied for a departure for my income to be considered in the calculation and it resulted in a much higher CSA payment leaving us struggling. If it had just been CSA it may have been manageable but it was the way that our full joint income (before CSA) was taken into account whe working out other benefits and allowances eg tax credits, uni funding, bursaries etc (which Cally mentioned earlier on in this thread).0
