ikea lamp lightbulbs

Bought a cheap ikea lamp but now find it takes led e14 or e27 bulbs which seem to be more expensive than the light, cant seem to get any other bulbs to fit Are there any alternatives please

Yeah I remember doing this myself, I thought I bought a £3.00 lamp from Ikea, but the bulbs were £7.00 each!?

Sadly from what I gather, Ikea lighting only fits Ikea bulbs.

You could try eBay.co.uk or Amazon.co.uk?

E14 = Small Eddison Screw (SES)
E27 = Eddison Screw (ES) normal size

You don't have to use LED lights with it I would not have thought. You can purchase regular Halogen bulbs that will be much cheaper, but a decent LED light is worth the investment and will last alot longer.

Nothing unusual about the E14 or E27 lamps, they are used all over Europe, even quite common in UK.

And I'd be surprised if it 'takes E14 or E27 bulbs', surely it must only take one or the other.
