My current Fixed Price 2014 EDF tariff ends 31 Mar and this was my first ever switch.I am now looking for next tariff.
My last bill was Oct 2013 showing yearly elec usage 3062kwh and gas 16735kwh (-the predicted yearly useage for this period had been elec 3339kwh and gas 15550kwh)
The annual statement in July showed elec usage 3180kwh gas 18719kwh
April 2013-2014 predicted usage elec 3327kwh gas19149kwh.
What figures should I use to find a new tariff or should I now submit a new meter reading to get a new prediction and use that figure?
Feel a bit thick and unsure about this and would be grateful for advice.
Thanks in anticipation.

Use the newest figures: it won't make a lot of difference to your tariff selection which set you use, as the variation is not that great. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I usually take my "actual" usage and just round it up but as already stated there isn't that much difference between your actual and predicted usage.
I consider it better that the direct debit is slightly higher than need be to make sure the account stays slightly in credit on an annual basis.0
