Samsung Smt c7160

I have a Samsung Smt c7160 hdtv digital box which came from Sweden and was used with the Swedish operator comhem. Just wondering if this box will work in the UK, if not can I update the firmware so it will work in the UK?

It'll be a lot less hassle to buy a cheap Freeview box from the local supermarket...

yeah I guess, just this was very expensive and has pause and play with huge storage.

Everything is expensive in Sweden compared to Britain!

I doubt you'd get it to work seamlessly with UK broadcasts.

But at least the duplicate was posted on another forum. It certainly won't work with Virgin Media (who lease their decoders anyway), so would hardly be a money-saving option. Is Comhem a cable operator only?

yes they only have cable in Sweden, regarding the duplicate thread I was unsure which forum would be best.

So, forget about your Swedish decoder. Virgin Media lease their boxes, so it wouldn't save any money even if you could connect it to their network.
