Hi
Does anyone know of any Laptop offers/deals at the moment.
Either buy out right or trade in.
Our laptop is struggling to charge (I think it has a dodgy connection)

We have a new charger for it and the light stays on for a while then goes off without charging the laptop.
The laptop is 7 years old now.
Is there a cheaper option to fix it rather than replacing it?0 -
Its probably the battery but to confirm this take the battery out and run the laptop on mains. If it works then its the battery. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

The laptop does not run on the mains as there isn't enough power0

EDIT: if you want a different laptop please specify budget. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
What is your budget?
What programme are you using?
Any preference on screen size?
Do you need optical drive?0 -
My laptop is on its way out and I'm thinking I will need to get something new quickly. It has missing keys and I'm having issues with the touchpad which is worn and jumps, copies, drags and drops of its own accord. I've played with the drivers but still having issues. I've ordered a USB mouse to see if I get some joy with that. It might have humidity damage. I use the laptop for work and study. I'm looking for a large screen, optical drive would be nice to have, 750GB plus would be great. I mostly use Word, email and the internet, no gaming. Money is tight as I'm inbetween contracts but I'm hoping £300 should cover it but would pay a bit more if need be. I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks in advance.0

EDIT: haven't looked too hard but try this HP (would prefer a better warranty but cannot have everything)

It looks like a good deal having read all the reviews there. I'm still hoping that I can fix this one. Thanks for looking.0

I'm still waiting for the USB mouse. The HP laptop has now gone up in price to £380! Boo hoo. Has anyone got any other laptop recommendations just in case I can't fix the erratic behaviour of this one?0
