The picture says the offer ends on 02/03/2014.
It also says "Whole chicken higher price charged 10/02/2014 - 23/02/2014". So I wonder what they were on 09/02/2014?
Maybe the chicken deal isn't as good as they are making out. Still good, but perhaps not really half price.0 -

Good point. Another example of the fake pricing that's driving more and more people to Aldi and Lidl, who don't fake their offers like this.geordie_joe wrote: »The picture says the offer ends on 02/03/2014.

And both sell at lower prices than this all the time.0 -

Lidl isn't cheaper than this promo at the moment, 1.5 kilo chuck was 3.48 today. Similar size in morrison would be about 2.62kg or thereabouts
Aldi are 2.42kg at the momentMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Out of curiosity - cheapest I can find at Mr T's is £2.48k0

Good grief! Don't try arguing with the Aldi 'true believers'. Facts mean little....
I normally only buy free range chickens but took a gamble on one of the Morrison's ones during the last offer. It was surprisingly good - as Morrison's meat usually seems to be.0 -

Lol......Good grief that's a sweeping statement.......I love Aldi but I would gladly let you win the argument.......I'm a happy true believer without an axe to grind......ha ha.....never tried morrisons meat but seen a few good recommend actions so I may try offers.......only offers mind as I do love my butchers on the market.....and no not one of the shouting men just a good old fashioned butcher......:kisses3:Hello Payday! How are. . Hey where are you going? . . Please don't walk out on me.

Sometimes sweeping statements are true...
An MSE poster tells us about a cheap chicken deal and before you can say 'cluck' one of the Aldi fan club arrives hotfoot to tell us all chicken is cheaper there.
Only, as neilwoods pointed out, it isn't. Nor is it cheaper at Lidl. At least this week.
So why leap in with the facts wrong in some strange desire to defend what is, after all, just another supermarket? It seems awfully tribal to me. None of them (St. Aldi and St. Lidl included) are in it for anything other than profit and it's wise of us to remember that.
And yes, I agree with you - you can't beat a good High St (or market) butcher. But among the supermarkets, Morrison's meat takes some beating, I have to admit. Their stores are a bit tacky, though.0 -
Often I sway away from Morrisons chicken as it tends to have an off -white colour to it.
Don't know what the cause is, but it looks un-appertising
Breast fillets can be pinky-brown in colour.0 -
The 'usual' price is about 2.50 p/kg so this is good but def not half price and cheaper than aldi at the mo. I'll still get a few to joint and freeze f I can find room next to the lidl drumsticks I got last weekendPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
