I think if there were any chance of me taking your advice, I'd need to know quite a lot more than you've posted so far.

Care to enlarge on why they are 'nothing buy incompetent, evil, rude, lying scumbags'?

    No, I'm totally convinced.

A total stranger on the internet, throwing out wild accusations with no evidence or even any details.

    I'll never use Wren again.

    Whoever they are.

    :D
  • They've recently changed their trading name from 'Wren' to 'Wren living' They've invested a LOT of money in new Showrooms but have not hit a single profit margin/target for a looooong while.
That is the reason i wouldn't buy from them....probably won't be around much longer.......

They advertise alongside motorways. Always a good indication they are best avoided.
  • Sorry for the late reply.

My girlfriend heard about them on the T.V. We went in to the Showroom in January to buy some furniture. We agreed on a delivery date of 21st Feb, but the line manager said it could be sooner and she would phone us back.

The line manager never phoned us back and it was me who had to do the chasing. Eventually they said it cannot be any earlier and it has to be the 21st Feb - Fair do's We were happy with that.

On the 18th Feb I received a strange and short phone call from Wren saying there was a issue with the order and they would call back, they never did.

On the 20th we received a Text saying the delivery will be on the 21st. My girlfriend stayed in all day and no delivery :(

On the 22nd Feb we cancelled the order and apparently they cannot do PIN returns? Instead they "sent" us a cheque. It is now the 28th Feb and still no refund :(

I just phoned them today and still no definite answer. What do I do if they don't refund us? Do I have any rights? I have kept the invoice and anything.

    "incompetent, evil, rude, lying scumbags."

Just because they didn't deliver on time ? Overreaction or what ?

As you cancelled the order, you're reliant on them refunding you now. If you paid by card it would have been better for you to contact your card issuer and claim non delivery of the goods.
  • I paid by debit card.

How is it an over reaction? I paid £249 and don't have the product or my money back. You may be able to urinate money up the wall, but I don't like being conned and want my money back.

As you cancelled the order, it is down to you to chase the refund. If you hadn't cancelled the order the bank would have done this for you if you hadn't received the goods.

You said they are going to refund you by cheque. I'd give them chance if i were you.

When you say they "sent" you a cheque, do you mean you haven't received it yet?

'No definite answer' to what question?

Did you tell them you'd not received the cheque (assuming that you haven't)?

22nd Feb was a Saturday, the OP has only allowed 5 days for the cheque refund. Not very patient are they ?
