How do I delete threads so can make new thread to put altogether?

As you strike me as the kind of person that treats a car as nothing more than a white good.
Then i would say go for a Prius or the slightly cheaper Honda Insight.
Both will do 50mpg with an autobox. Though not seen many or indeed any Insight manuals but apparently they do make one.
Neither has a dpf due to running on petrol and are quiet and easy to drive.0 -
Suzuki Alto £5999 or possibly £4999 at Bristol Street Motors 65.7 mpg, 99co2 so nil road tax. http://www.suzuki.co.uk/cars/cars/new/alto/alto/tech-spec0

Slightly larger, but VW Golf TDI.
You can pick up a decent one for around £2k and will do 50+ MPG. Probably one of the cheapest high MPG cars you can get that is also pretty reliable for the age.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
