Virgin media savings

Hi people i have just transferred my dads virgin media account over to my name and im going to use direct debit to pay the bill..
I was wondering are there any bill saving tips i can use i.e i would be willing to pay a year upfront for my package(phone,broadband and tv)
If i got some kinda discount..does any on know of any discounts offered please..
Ps i love this site..

    You can pay your line rental a year in advance to save money.

    I'd be very surprised if the situation you described actually happened. VM do not do 'transfers' - you have either changed the billing method for a pre-existing account, in which your DD plays the ongoing costs, but you father remains the bill payer and customer, and his payment record (credit file) updated monthly to show the payments you made.

    OR

    Your father was released from his commitment, and you took on concurrent service at the installation address. You would formally be the principal account holder, and given your permission to be credit checked and gave your file updated with your finsnciel dealings.

    If the latter, then your negotiating might is reduced, but switching to pay for the phone line in advance is a good move.
