cashback problem

I took out a cashback contract six months ago, with previous contracts I only had to send 1 bill in, but on this one I need all 6. My problem is one of them is missing, I have a copy of the lost bill, but according to the terms and conditions this is unacceptable, do I have a any legal come back on this? as it seems a little bit unreasonable, or should I just forget it and cut my losses?

They don't need justification, they can put it any rules they like. You will almost certainly find that the small print requires 'all' the conditions to be adhered to for any cash back to be paid, so the amount payable is not paid out pro rata, but either in full or not at all.

Is it worth asking if the phone company can supply a second copy at all?

Go to a stationery shop with a colour photocopier - tippex the copy out and get them to copy it for you - possibly a better result than you could do at home? (although not sure what printer you have!)

Anything's worth a try though, they may never notice about the copy thing, just think how many they go through per day!
