    I have now escalated it. Will be interesting to see how they respond to FOS.

    By their reckoning if their platform provider fails to pay the dividends due then they don't have to pay them.:rotfl:

    That message from II doesn't surprise me at all.
    Sometime later when I've got time I'll be back here to relate the latest twist in my own II saga.
    I'm still boiling at the moment and too exasperated to type coherently. :(
    What I do know is that I've come to the end of my tether with them and am now looking at moving to another broker.

    A dividend arrived in my trading account 5.15pm yesterday…

    Surprising thing is, it’s not one of the August divs I’m still waiting for. It’s a dividend that paid out on 15th Sept…
  • I have just posted my complaint about II to the Ombudsman.

    I have tried being nice to them, I have tried getting annoyed with them, I have phoned, written and emailed. I have tried writing to a named Manager, I even foolishly thought I had found a named contact who gived a damn and who sorted out a couple of things for me but now I just despair.

    I am entrusting a lot of money (to me) to a company who cares less about me and gives me worse customer service than my local pound shop.

    I have spent hours doing this. I have to check every transaction, dividend payment, etc line by line. What a waste fo my time.

    Last week I had to go to my previous 'Supermarket' Hargreaves Lansdown for information so I could check up on II. What a difference. I phoned for information on Friday, spoke to someone who understood what I needed, and got the required documents in the post on Monday Morning.

    I don't know what the Ombudsman can do.

    That's exactly what I have done (just wish I had done that with II, like you, I was used to dividends paying on time). I have an account with YouInvest setup at the moment, just waiting for the dividends at the moment. I am also thinking of setting one up with Charles Stanley to see what they are like. Since YouInvest website is a little bit crap.

    I have ISA and trading accounts with Charles Stanley and no problems so far.
    Their attention to detail has been good, liasing with "back office" excellent and response to messages has been very prompt.
    I haven't traded a lot, but the trades that I have made were executed promptly and without problems.
    So far....
    These accounts were set up in March this year.

    Tell III to pay the dividends?

    Apart from the FOS there is always the route of taking out a Money Claim against III.
  • Just found out that today they had changed my preferences to automatic dividend reinvestment without my consent. What a rubbish company.
