I am probably ok with, and staying at III however as an example of the 'you get what you pay for' - I need my Annual Tax Certificate.

I asked when III will have them and am told sometime in July.

When I was with Hargreaves Lansdown I got it dated 1 May

Might be worth others saying when they get theirs from their fund shop just as one simple 'objective measure' to compare,
  • Hi,

got a message today that my tax certificate was ready, so check your documents.
  • I did get the email saying the voucher was available!

This little vignette illustrates what dealing with III is all about.

The tax voucher doesn't appear when you expect it - so the service is poorer than its competitors.

When you chase it with them you get information which proves not to be accurate

Because you get one piece of inaccurate information you end up checking everything - which can take hours

It all comes good in the end but leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

At the end of the day you have probably got what you paid for!
  • Hi,

I have an account with both II and TD Direct, both have shares/dealing account and Isa.

Does anybody know, when merger is complete, will both accounts be merged on the II platform.

    Thanks.

A turn up for the books reported by relative today.

Accounts are held with both II and HL.

And....wait for it....the dividend for 24 Select Monthly income has turned up in II but not in HL....

    The sky will fall....:D

    Thanks.

The TD Direct platform will be used as the basis of the combined platform... In essence, both accounts will be merged and you'd be following the TD way :)... The TD Name would disappear though.

Is 'TD Direct' the same as 'Trustnet direct'???
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.
