How soon can you pay off a Halifax Clarity card?

I was wondering how soon I can pay off my halifax card? I made a test transaction last night, and while it hasn't shown up a specific item on my banking homepage, my credit limit is minus the amount shown.
As long as the credit limit shows I've made a payment, am I ok paying this off as soon as possible? I'm not worried about interest, but I only have the basic limit and I want to keep on top of it while I'm abroad.
I'll be using an account with a different bank to pay it off, so it wouldn't be instant. I'm so paranoid about my card being frozen for accidentally loading it
Thanks in advance!

As soon as you've transacted should be fine.
Any faster payment credit, even from a Halifax account, should show the next working day.0 -
I would wait for it to appear.
When I buy stuff/use an ATM, the transaction is often immediately reflected in the credit limit. Presumably this is as a result of the authorisation - the limit is "reserved". Sometimes on Santander Zero you can see the "transaction" using the "unprocessed transactions" feature. The actual transaction goes through later, sometimes a couple of days later, but usually by the next day. In the case of foreign transactions the amount is typically slightly different. That indicates to me that in the first place it is the authorisation that is hitting the account, not the transaction.
If you're paranoid about pre-loading then I wouldn't do it. You might have an argument if it came to a ballyhoo over T+Cs, but you could have the inconvenience in the meantime.0
