the creditor should be listed on the paperwork from NPE

also see if its come up before using the search on here as you wont be the first

the shops etc should know who the landowner or managing agent is, especially if they pay rent to them, or if they have had similar problems in the past with other customers etc

    otherwise its the land registry

ps:- we cannot help you as you havent named the road or estate or any identifying details

@Redx - PPCs rarely name the actual creditor/landowner - they don't like to give the chance of complaints and claim "confidentiality" (rubbish)

OP: if you do send that letter and DRP continue to write demanding money - then you will be able to complain to the OFT; TS and the FCA and possibly raise a claim against them.

Your first letter of complaint should be made to one of the retailers in any case as a customer but should that not be fruitful then it should be fairly easy to find the landowner by the methods described above - even just by googling or as Redx states asking some shop owners.

It's st Augustine's shopping precinct but it's kinda hard to find any info about as there's a couple, without knowing the area no one else could help really. You've done enough for me anyway so don't worry about that! Worst comes to worst like you say I'll just ask the spar shop they ought to know.
Do you think it would be worth enclosing the letter you wrote up for me earlier to the car park owners too? And would you write to the car park first or just sent them all off at once and see what happens?
  • Please edit your post above - too much info about the tickets received!

You write a different letter to the car park owners

St Augustines parade - Norwich - is this St Augustinesgate/Waterloo Road?

The complaint letter should be based on the usual 'Successful Complaints' we see all the time - there are DOZENS of them linked in the thread called 'Successful Complaints about PPCs'. And that thread is one of those linked by Crabman, top thread on the forum.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Yep that's the one. I'm headed there after work tonight so I'll see what I can find out.

I'll have to try and find that later on, I've been on my mobile internet the last couple days and it's not easy trying to find things on a tiny screen!

this happens far too often nowadays and when dealing with important matters like this its important to use a proper pc or laptop so you can click on links and read stuff properly

the nobile phones and tablets are ok for day to day things but when it comes to important matters like research etc I would advise you to sit with a laptop and actually spend the time to do the research , especially when experienced menbers here tell you all the info is here and all you need to do is find it and read it - properly

yes it takes time, but so does learning to drive and you cannot do that using tiny books or a mobile phone, you need the right tools and the ability to research and learn and look where people tell you to look

so with the right tools I can assure you all the relevant info is here, but due to you using small tools that are not for this task you are making life more difficult for yourself - sorry to say

use a laptop and read the sticky threads properly and I guarantee you will have a better understanding of all this topic, as people will help you but you have to put in the legwork with the correct tools

good luck, bear in mind we are all on your side, so criticism is well meant and hopefully will help you to win this case

I've been flying around these last few days taking care of other things as well as trying to gather as much info as I can. Hence why I was getting a bit fraught last night! It's fine though I have a day off tomorrow so I can focus on this!

So what are you saying then, ignore it and keep getting letters?
Write back and keep getting letters?
Write back only for it to not be over turned and possibly end up in court? ( I know I know it's very improbable but still it's a possibility)

One minute I feel confident with it then after reading that I feel like there's no point and might as well just pay it! Sorry if I'm being a bit pathetic though I might've read it wrong.

Roco65 - you are reacting exactly as the Parking companies want - panicking, scared and fearful due to not knowing/understanding what these rip-off merchants can and can't do.

They will send plenty more letters as THEY WANT YOUR CASH - the fact that the whole thing is a scam will not divert them from trying to frighten you more.

You will defeat them by following the advice you have been given.

They cannot justify the charges they are demanding. You will win - but only by playing the game according to the set appeal rules.

There is no instant stop or overturning of this.
