The OP may have been in to buy just a few items. Not everyone buys a trolley full.

No, but we are discussing what happens if you get over charged in aldi & the point is, you wont know till youve paid & got your receipt if you have anything more than a few items.

Yes you will if you look up as you can ...as has previously been mentioned. This can be done if you have a few or lots of items. You have missed pennyago's points entirely.

Just because you don't do this doesn't mean it can't be done.

My m-i-l is even more eager shes a human calculator totting up the cost of all the items as she goes and can tell you the individual price of each item.

I still don't believe this can be done in lidl or aldi with a trolley full, personally.

Adding it all up is great, if you dont buy a lot of fruit, veg & salad, as I do. Most of that is weighed at the till.
  • Believe whatever you want Mrs E to be honest i don't care if you think im lying your opinion is of no matter to me..its the truth.

Not everyones the same just because you can't /don't do it don't go round making sweeping statements that "no one" can do this.

Exactly my point before. OP may have purchased just a few items making it more likely to notice the overcharge.

Yes, but if I go to lidl or aldi tomorrow & buy a trolly full of shopping & then struggle trying to pack it while they whizz it through at the speed of light, then say "that will be £60.87p please, I have to pay & check AFTER I've paid - when I get my receipt that I've been charged correctly.

The OP hasn't been back to tell us what he bought. It could have been 4pint of milk and a loaf of bread. They could have said that will be £1.99 please.

:wall: but NOWHERE has OP said they bought a trolley full or they struggle to pack it :wall:

As Pennyago points out the may have just bought a couple of items ...or maybe they just bought the milk !

I don't struggle to pack it at all.. I just chuck it in the trolley and manage to check they've charged me correctly as they scan ...multitasking is great.

surprised you buy your food in aldi as your budget seems to stretch to 30 quid face creams ! The amount of steak I can feed my dog for 30 quid !!!

You might not struggle to pack & watch in aldi or lidl but others would, add a child or grandchild & you really might struggle.

I dont shop in aldi, there are none near me.
My face cream will last me 6 months, does your dogs steak;)
