Posting a comment on the competition you've entered?

Well they replied back saying they loved my comment, favourited it, followed me and next thing you know when it ended I won and there were a number of entries! I can't see i was pulled out if a hat because it just seemed like my comment won it. Nobody else's comment was favourited or anything, but you never know it could have been coincidence but I doubt it I've seen it happen too many times on twitter!

not sure that true , if i comment on a post be it competition or otherwise i get notifications to say someone has commented on said post , they dont have to tag me in it , so you would just keep ur eye open for competition runner ( whoever that may be ) going back to comment on their post ( hopefully to announce a winner , tagged or otherwise) !

sometimes i get notifications sometimes i dont it depends if they directly reply on my comment or just comment underneath

I just do as they ask, if a comment is included in the instructions then I do.

Another example here:

Comp says " All you have to do is LIKE this post for a chance to win"

1,670 likes and just over 200 comments.

Winners were then notified by replies to their comments.

So it looks like only the 200 who left a comment got entered.


For Facebook comps I think it's always safer to leave a comment just in case.
