Why do I do it?

I usually only enter for things I want or for a gift.
I'd rather leave all the other stuff for someone who really wants it rather than have to try and find it a home.
Saying that, I have accidentally been a bit retweet/share happy on occasion!0 -
I'm quite selective with comps, actually.
When new to comping it was quite the opposite though!
But, i have to be selective as i don't have much time on here.0 -
I'm selective, which may explain why I've won nothing in February!!2020 wins: Twitter 14 Insta 6 Online entry 5 Raff 10

I'm now selective with twitter after I found myself retweeting everything because like Claire says it's so easy to do!"Knowledge will give you power, but character respect" ~ Bruce Lee0

Im selective too, i really really do not see the point personally in entering for everything " just for the win" and i truly believe thats how it is for some people, its greed. I respect everyone has a difference of opinions but while some of us will have the good thought of " i don't need this so i hope it goes to someone else who will benefit from it"... in actual fact 8/10 times it will be going to someone who is just entering for the sake of it..
I dont win masses im usually too busy, ive won some lovely things though and unless its a runners up prize then i have been overjoyed with what i have gained through my hobby,
can someone also tell me why my " thanks" are not showing on my lil pic over there <<< pls... i had 30k2025 Wins ::

I think it depends - some compers just love the buzz of winning a prize -no matter what especially early on but then we tend to get more selective after a couple of really disappointing parcels that you open full of anticipation .....and then look inside and go Oh
I have won some amazing prizes over the years but I have less time now and need to be much more selective -I'd honestly rather win nothing than a furry bug nowdaysI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
See I've gone it again, a cycling jersey on Twitter, just the one click....I potter on my bike, I'd look stupid in it lol0

I try to be selective in what I enter, but sometimes when I'm in the "comping zone" I open competitions without really looking at what it's for - I had to stop myself entering one for triathlon kit the other day :rotfl: - and I find the school run a bit of a slog!
That's when I try to slow down and read the prize details before entering.Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set
Debt free thanks to MSE0 -
I don't have time to be selective - by the time I've opened the thread, opened the competition and decided I don't want the prize, I could have actually entered!I like to make money
Best wins: £3,000 luxury holiday, holiday in Cornwall, £250 Murad Skincare hamper, angle grinder
