Challengers updated :) I will try to stay on top off it more in March.

    good luck everybody.

specialbrew - you have left a lovely image of what I think you look like diving across the asda car park! good luck with the quitting smoking and saving money.

lynnejk - if you put the money aside that you would have spent on cigarettes into savings, yes count it towards the challenge. I think you will find it rewarding how much you have saved.

I'd like to Join in again.....I'll aim for £100....a modest amount but it means a LOT for me to get this much extra....

    Thanks....
  • Hi

Thank you Aesop for putting up and running the thread.
I'm going to be more realistic this month and go for £2.50 a day please I can't make the big totals unless I get a bit of luck!

I saw the conversation about YS/supermarket vouchers etc. I do the Grocery challenge as well and have been wondering about this one. Last month I started putting money savings/discounts on grocery vouchers in here but stopped when my GC started to run out!

This month I want to eat more low carb, which will cost a bit more, so I'm putting my grocery budget up but I will count YS/supermarket voucher savings in here.

I know this may seem like just taking from one budget to give to another and mucking about a bit but I reckon as long as I have bit of money to put away at the end of the month it doesn't really matter how I do it! Makes budgeting a bit more interesting...
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
