Inspired energy / energisave [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]

Hi,

I have been called by energisave about twenty times in the last week, they wont go away!! I've recently opened my new business in Hyde and i'm negotiating my energy supply. I've been quoted from them saying they can get me the cheapest deal in the market for my business and that it's 'suitable'!

I did a bit of background research because this seems to me like they were desperate so before I agreed to anything, I wanted to be sure they were legitimate. Good job I did...

There are clear links between this company and one called Inspired Energy PLC. Inspired profess to be a professional utility broker with [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]

It seems terrible that people can sell like this! They are bullying new businesses into going through them and it's not right! Just thought i'd make you all aware so that they don't catch anyone else like this!!!

Anyone else had any experiences with Inspired or EnergiSave?

I have had a similar experience with them! I too did some research but was lucky enough to avoid them!

They, to me, look like typical energy brokers who scavenge around for a deal. Best to steer clear and i'd like to know if I was the only one lucky enough to get away.

I've found several occurrences of them pestering people/ new businesses. They call from a specific number which can be traced to both businesses. This explains more:

Very helpful Hopefully people will begin to be aware of the company's desperate attempts of signing businesses.

I can think of anyone that won't be happy with their tactics. Bullying new businesses into joining EnergiSave or big businesses through Inspired Energy...

Agreed! It puts broker in a bad light - knowing they are only in it for the money. Will make me think twice about renewing or switching supplier in the future. Inspired Energy should be ashamed!

It’s about time someone exposed Inspired Energi PLC and Energisave Online Ltd for what they are a total scam.

I worked there briefly last year and was horrified by what was going on and what I was being asked to say and do.

First thing was I was told to think of a name, excuse me but I already have a name I replied.

No love you don’t understand an alias is what you need, why I replied. Because some of the customers are quite switched on was the response.

Everyone who worked on the sales side was using a fake name.

I was trained to come across as a regulatory body rather than a broker and to explain that we have been put in place to register all change of tenancies and that we represent all suppliers.

We were told to say we don’t get any money for switching you suppliers its just what we have been put in place to do.

This is blatant lies as they only represent Opus Energy Ltd and whatever your circumstances that is who you are going to be recommended.

In order to recommend Opus Energy we had to make up fake rates from the other suppliers. So British Gas was always more expensive, Eon too, Npower, Scottish Power etc.

Energi save doesn’t have a website, we were told to use Inspired Energy’s instead, apparently they have credibility cos they are a PLC.

Avoid this company at all costs. Ive had first hand experience of how they operate.

I'm not quite sure of their proper address but I do know they are based in Kirkham with both companies manning the same phone line and building.

Ex Employee, I can see that it makes sense now. That's why there has been so many complaints on their phone number with them only selling Opus.
