Online Trading?

Hi all,
I've been looking at some of the online stock trading platforms like plus500 and etoro - they're not very clear about fees and I was wondering if anyone had experience using them?
Which ones are good for a newbie? Or is this still something better done through your bank?
Thanks!

Their website is basic, and the shares you can invest in are largely limited to the UK, but the site works, it's cheap, and everything is efficiently managed.

Before you jump in with both feet it may be better to have a practise, there are sites that will give you thousands of pounds of free 'monopoly' money to learn your mistakes.
