I'm going to join this month, have watched from the side-lines for a while and joined in spirit, but about time I gave it a go. Pigsback have just sent another piggy to us so he can look after my savings.

Haven't had a chance to meal plan or properly 'audit' cupboards and freezer, but have decided to try for €350 this month, went to Aldi this morning and spent €26.17 am pleased with that, will need milk and potatoes sometime during the week, but at this time of year I only buy potatoes as needed, they don't last well so would be waste otherwise. DD4 goes to work for next 8 weeks so will be taking lunches, lots of lettuce here, so cheese, tomatoes and yogurt all she will need to go with some fruit and rolls which I will make to-morrow.

I've been MIA for a couple of months due to being so busy and living on the flylady thread, but count me in. Need to reign my spending in again. Think it will probably end up being virtual rather than actual hard core savings until i am back at ork from maternity leave.

I've just done a week's shop for £36, and already bought July's birthday pressies, so i need to work out what my savings are from that, so i guess a target of £20 to ease me in slowly.

I guess the best thing i could do is to eat very sensibly so i lose a bit of weight before September so i fit in my work clothes again so i don't have to go out and buy new ones. Very money saving

    Hi
Please count me in again for this month. Actually took great delight in keeping a proper record for June and found it kept me really motivated. Saved £260.97 in total which was greatly bolstered by a compensation cheque from Southern Water and a bonus from work. Have already managed to buy the presents for 3 out of the 4 birthdays this month.
Think I shall nip over to the flylady thread and pick up some tips there now!!
Hope you all have a successful month.

I'm definitely up for this challenge this month. Wayne has given up smoking (12 hours and 15 minutes so far). Of course, I had to buy the prescription for the nicotine inhalator at £6.85:eek:) but I'm saving £13 this week and £20 next week. The prescription will last for 2 weeks. I've got to make an appointment to see my doctor for chamonix(?sp), as it's doctor prescribed only, but my stop date is after 23rd July!

I'm also tyring to save money on petrol (if I need to run errands, they're planned on a journey planner to a round trip rather than 5 or 6 single journeys)! I'll post at the end of the month how much we've saved!!

My first ever pms saving, managed to use £1.90 vouchers in Tesco - my heart was racing - especially as it just got to my turn and the young male was replaced by a young female, but I had nothing to worry about. I then dashed home to update my signature - this is going to get compulsive!

CAT<, you can get patches for free at the chemist, or you could here in Scotland. Ask at Boots first before you start to pay out for these things. Should be all sorts of help for you as the smoking ban has just started in England, I know Tesco are giving coupons and Boots are giving out quit kits, we dont get them as we,re a year into the ban. Think the gum is included dont know about inhalers though. Ask first

Cat - I think I have some of the Tesco Quit Pack nicotine patches around that I picked up for FiL but then never had the courage to give him to hint to give up/ PM me your address if you want them and I'll send them over

PMS-wise... sorry I've been so quiet this month... I really buried my head in the sand with my spending in May and am buckling down this month but as such made no PMS savings until yesterday when I opened a new butter (49p saving I think it was, last of my BOGOFs on that) and OH took a second jar of the Kenco coffee that was on offer so another £1.75.

I've been doing okay with amikng my own tea in work too so will start keeping on track of that too on here.

One more thing... I've started making DS some frozen yougurt ice lollies which thankfully he likes.... I been feeling really mean recently as he can't really have ice cream or ice poles as he Type 1 Diabetic. I figured if we're happy him having a yougurt for dessert at dinner time, why not a frozen one? He loves them and I seem to get 3 lollies from 2 yougurts.

Thing is I don't know how much the Eisseman diabetic ones were that my Mum was buying so when she back off her hols I'll sit and work out if it really is a saving for the PMS pot. Even if it's more expensive making my own yougurt ones I'll keep going as I figure they're healthier (calcium amounts etc) and better for his blood sugar levels. Ooo and I can add fruit in if I get more adventurous with vanilla flavours etc....

    Okay... off to update sig
