Do I have to disclose pregnancy?

Hi,
I'm moving into a new flat in a week or so, and I'll be 20 weeks pregnant then.
Do I need to tell them? Could they refuse to let me the flat if I did?
Or can I wait until I'm settled to let them know.
This'll be in England.

It'll be a let, from a letting agent. We've passed all of the reference and credit checks.

I don't understand why you would need to? Unless it will make paying the rent a problem when you take maternity leave or the property specifically said no children?

no it didn't say no children. And my maternity leave is super so it won't be a problem for paying.
I just wasn't sure if they needed to know that we'll be moving another person in in July! Although, it's been living rent free in me for a while and didn't ask permission first. Cheeky thing

But the new tenant has to be a permitted occupier currently? I would make sure that you make him/her sign a deed of surrender as soon as s/he can scribble promising to vacate on or before his/her eighteenth birthday (The flat I mean)

Ten times no. You do not have to disclose anything of the sort. It's a rental, not the spanish inquisition.

I don't allow sex in any of my rentals.

Yeah, Payment in kind won't pay the Buy to Let Interest will it, and it's not the 1800's anymore, so sleeping with the landlord in lieu of rent is frowned upon. :eek::rotfl:

Mind you, I spoke to a bloke, who said, given have the chance, he'd rather not rent to single women, because "they are very dirty, and you have to deep clean when they leave"
