Call his bluff, more than likely he won't see it through.
My ex applied for access after a while of not seeing my son, I asked to go to mediation first to discuss it all properly and he agreed. I turned up and he didn't.
My son is now 13, if his biological father asked to see him now after 8-9 years I would tell him where to go. Although my son is older and I would have to consider allowing it if he wanted to but he has chosen not to, thankfully.
It has to be what is in the best interests of the children and clearly seeing their 'father' wouldn't be in their best interests after 5 years, he would be like a stranger. They don't know him and he's not likely to keep the visits up which will put the whole family back to square one.If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in
