Can someone explain why Natwest's MasterCard only lasts for 6 months at a time. Does anyone else have this problem, and can I request a card that has a longer shelf-life?
Furthermore, is it just NW cards that have this issue?
Thanks.

I've had 2x NatWest credit cards and they both had multi year validity. Six months seems excessively short, shortest lifespan I've had is 22 months (MBNA Virgin Atlantic card, bizarre length of validity I know).0

Seems bizarre for a 6 month expiry date. The shortest I've ever had was 13 months on a Maestro card many many years ago (When it was basically Switch rebranded) and the longest I've ever had was 8 years (This was also a long time ago (Pre-chip and pin) and I actually had to get a new card after about year 4 as the magnetic stripe wouldn't work anymore).0
