Recording the "18 extra channels" with BT TV/internet deal

Hi

I am thinking of abandoning sky and going to BT for TV and internet. On the BT site it says their box can record 2 freeview channels at the same time.

How about the 18 extra channels you get by paying an extra £7/month which I believe are delivered via internet. Can you "record" these i.e. stored on the box for ever; or is it just an on demand type service - when you want to watch a programme you missed it just gets downloaded?

Thanks in advance.

I stand to be corrected but I believe the functionality to do that was recently added
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Yes , BUT as i have recently discovered , forwarding an Internet channel , isnt as good a user experience as forwarding a recorded free view channel , it jumps in time , so if your watching a football match for example , you cant be sure you wont forward and miss chunks
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Sorry, but to clarify, you can now record programmes from the "internet" channels and have them stored locally on the boxes hard drive?

    Thanks.
