That's me declaring on £237.37 out of an increased budget of £250 for May. Will have lots of fruit to carry over to next week and a couple of meals left in the freezer. Only 12 NSDs.
Will reduce the budget in June as we are away for a whole week - to £200. Have just had a biggish Mr T stock up order so all that is needed is fresh meat, veg, fruit and dairy. Meal planning next so can do another big shop and fill the freezer - it doesn't like being empty!!
See you on the June thread.July 16 £95/£200

Had to pop to shop as I had no bread! We popped to my mums again for lunch today so took bread, crisps and cake so I didn't feel so bad. Also got 3 packs of pitta breads for £1 and some milk as we would have been touch and go for breakfast! So £8.68 spent!

Final weekly shop of the monthly yesterday at £25.84 in Ald! and pleased that my total for May has come in at £91.62 from £100 budget this month. We've got a well stocked fridge, freezer and store cupboard at the moment - not bad considering it's half term!
Looking over the last 5 months, I can see a pattern with my grocery spending too which is useful for budgeting forward, so my challenge is to continue that rather than reduce I think.Back on the DFW Wagon:

£6.84 and £10.55 spent in Tesco, £8.70 and £11.50 spent in sainsburys.
I'm at £167.88/£160 for May and still have bread, milk and fruit juice to buy.
I'm not too worried about being over since we usually budget £40 a week, based on a 4 week month so £120 a month. This month had five weeks for us and so instead of adding another £40 to the budget, I cut each weeks total down to £32.GC: £40 a week. Sticking to my budget, but never remembering to post in the relevant thread.
Probably buying toiletries that I don't need, as I can't resist a "bargain."

The Ald! snack shop for my OH came to £23.13 ( although he has finals atm so I guess any amount of money is worth it if it helps him out).
Spent £1.50 at the beginning of the month on YS-ed courgettes and stir fry mix in Sainsbobs.
Spent 60p on basics ketchup (a great Heinz substitute) and YS carrots.
Went to FarmF00ds for the first time, spent £5.70 on bake-at-home baguettes (cheapest I've found at 6 for £1), Nicky toilet tissue (didn't realise it was the scented stuff when I bought it though...) and 1kg of bananas for 75p.
Also had three meals out this month, one I've already included, another trip to the same noodle bar cost us £13, and a meal out with my mum cost £31.50 (although it was pretty rubbish but I'll save it for the TripAdvisor review!!).
That takes me to £135 exactly (always weird when that happens) with 5 days to go, but even if I do go over I won't be too upset as it's been a pretty manic month, I can't wait till the 13th June when OH's exams will be done, and my blood pressure can return to normal.
I love farmfoods alas it's the one shop I can get easily to so only go once every two months or soGc 2013 +26 -5. -4 -7 -14 -15 -10.-8.20 +15p+30+5.80 Dec +9 GROCERY challenge 2014 Jan -2Feb -3 March -1.50 April +5.40 May +4.90 June -3.July 16.50/85
