New Boiler from British Gas
Hi all,
I am just about to get a new (Worcester Bosch) boiler installed by British Gas and am also on their Homecare200 plan.
Part of the deal is that they give you free Homecare200 cover for 12 months so effectively, they won't charge me for a year.
My question is though, does the actual boiler come with a warranty? None of the paperwork mentions one?
Is this normal for BG or am I missing something?

The boiler will come with manufs warranty. These are all different dependant on boiler manuf.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

free homecare for a year that you might not need (you don't need it for the boiler as that's already covered & hopefully you won't need it for the rest of your system) & 40% more expensive for the install than a local independant guyI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

Part of bgs supply deal with worcester is that they take on the warranty I believe. The homecare just adds full system cover.

OP. As BG are involved you are being charged handsomely for the 'free' homecare for a year. If the boiler doesn't have a 7 year warranty choose one that does.0

Get a local engineer to fit it. Should come with a 5 year warranty.The futures bright the future is Ginger0

Had a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler fitted by my local engineer last October, he was 60% of the price that BG wanted to charge. The boiler comes with a 5 year parts and labour warranty, BG service have an arrangement with WB so my Homecare 200 costs dropped to reflect the money that BG can claim back.0

You can now get a TEN year warranty.
It's on my favourite supplier's website, but I don't want to name it in case people say it's spam.0
