My husband is at management level and works near London and we are in the North, as he was working away mon-fri he negotiated his travel and accomodation expenses at his final interview, but they offered it, but he is managment level and they made it clear only managment level employees can claim expenses or relocating packages (they offered this aswell if we wanted to sell and move the family) They could'nt offer him expenses though that would take him above a more senior manager wages.

Thanks for the help, that makes sense... my plan was to stay mon-fri but i'm not sure if that could extend to weekend. As i've just wrote above, i've decided not to ask for any support.
Why? If you don't ask, you don't get..

I wouldn't have got my relocation money if I hadn't politely asked HR about it

There's no upper limit to receiving back a DBS... there's a 60 day limit but once it hits day 60 then the DBS gets checked on a weekly basis until it is completed.

I was originally told the percentages on how often they come back... one week, two week, four week and 60 days but mine never. It was stuck on the police stage for a long, long time.

Mine were both for voluntary positions. Looking for paid work at the moment so hope it doesn't take this long for me!
