:rotfl: Weeowens, would I ever think of you as being an a.r.s.e.?

I am referring to your quote in Post Number 4. It doesn't read as the original does, and in that interpretation only, I agree with you. If you go back to serenity's original post and my highlighted version (ignore the words not highlighted), then you might be able to agree with Melli, Chyna and myself. If not, no worries, we all interpret things differently.

    Cheers TPD.

I will wait for Serenity2012 to return to the board & maybe spot this thread.
  • The way i read the comment was they were saying people self-promoting is not much different to compers posting without asking permission and people don't get worked up by that (but Some do get worked up by the self promotion), then goes on to say that the self promotion is a rule etc etc etc.

This is what I am asking.

Who are we meant to seek permission from if it is implied that we should do before we post a comp to MSE.
  • If posting a comp is going to have me be reported for self promotion http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=64753765&postcount=17
I'm going to think twice about posting it.

Have to say a publically 'open' site like this needs to have proper rules - they either want it to be open for anyone, or close it and make it a more private site to avoid whatever it is they do or dont want on here.
TBH as far as im concerned post anything and everything, its a free open public site!!!!!
They cant dictate things on an open site
Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

I think that if by "they" you mean MSE admin the control of content of this site can easily be dicated by them & often rightly is.

My question is re having to seek permission to post comps from promoters though & not about editorial control.

Oh i see, and yes they admins etc.
But afaic if a company dont put anything about posting it then it can be posted?
Is it not up to the promoter to make the facts about posting known?
Either way whats the worse that can happen?

I have posted quite a few comps & not one has involved me being given permission to post as I have never communicated with a promoter, either on forum or off forum regarding such permission.

    No self promotion here.
