Stickies in a different colour?

Does the forum software allow the sticky posts to show in a different colour in the index than others, or only to have the icons alongside them?

The reason I ask is that the stickies that appear in the small number of boards I visit are all showing in the fainter "read" colour so they don't stand out. In one case I know I haven't read the sticky, so it just means that it merges in to all the other posts. As the only thing that highlights a sticky is the icon alongside it, I wonder if having the post title in a different colour might make it easier to see.

There are mods/hacks or adjustments to the forum code/CSS that can do that or similar.

MSE are currently doing a forum redesign, so I'll highlight this post to them.
