Strange that the police had to take action and that Ryanair and Stansted Airport appeared to do nothing.

Shocking
We landed at Stansted just before midnight that evening and the airport appeared to be in a somewhat chaotic state.
It took us nearly an hour after landing to get on a stand to disembark (having been sent to an already occupied stand initially) and, once off the plane, we were further delayed waiting for security to unlock an exit. Our route through the airport was down staff corridors and through emergency exits. They also tried to send us through passport control (domestic flight).
We were told that many flights had been diverted to Stansted from other airports due to the terrible weather conditions and that their computer systems had suffered a lightning strike ( not sure how true that is) but there is no excuse for treating passengers that way.Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -

Ryanair and Swissport have issued statements

So it seems like Swissport were the villains here. But it is clear by the video that Ryanair did not offer food while the passengers were trapped on the plane. So they are not blameless in this.
I would have barged pass the stewards and opened the food trolley, that would have gotten the police there in a flash. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Do you see passengers drinking water on the plane in the video?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
