Best place to sell vintage armagnac?

Hi, I am selling a bottle of Saint_Vivant Armagnac on behalf of my father who won it in a raffle. I have been given an estimate of it's value as between £150-£250 from an online 'expert' but I am not sure as to where would be best to sell it as there is so much varying information on the internet. Could anyone offer me some advice please?

Description:

An unopened bottle of Saint-Vivant Armagnac.

The bottle measures 9 inches or 27 cm high. The bottle is oddly shaped. It is marked in raised letters "EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE 1937" on the front of the glass. It is also marked on the bottom "SAINT VIVANT PARIS".

It has a wax seal of a Tudor on the front and a wax seal to the opening of the bottle. The label around the bottle neck reads: Saint-Vivant Armagnac. distributeur besse et paret. vieilli en chenes noirs. cour st emilion paris.

The condition overall is very good. Part of the wax seal is missing on one side of the bottle opening. I believe this is probably a 750 ml.

I am located in Scotland, UK.

Any help would be greatfully received. Thanks.

Did the online expert not want to buy it at that price?

$30 - $60 seems to be more realistic.

    This one?

  • You would be best finding a bricks and mortar dealer to sell on your behalf. Certainly in England you would need a licence to sell alcohol.

If it is the one on the link below it is worth about £23, so if you sell it through a bricks and mortar auction you will only get about £16 after fees. Probably worth re gifting for that price or just keeping it and using it at Christmas

I saw your post very quickly after you posted and there was no link showing, I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that you had forgotten to add it.
