Hi there,
I was just wondering how often people check their balances and update their spread sheets/log books/records etc.?
The reason I ask, I do it every day, for at least an hour. I also find myself checking figures, even though I know they haven't changed. I actually feel like it's gone past the stage of being organised and I am becoming slightly obsessive.
On the plus side, for the first time in around 8 years, I feel on top of my debt and can see light at the end of the tunnel.
Any thoughts/comments?

I'm quite bad for this too, and I'm not even in debt! I find new ways of tweaking the figures and changing columns around all the time....0

Yep Im obsessive.
I looooove my NatWest phone App. I can do all my basic banking and transfering from it. Once I had forgotten my debit card and learned that day I could get cash by using the App.

Hi,
LOL, I'm rather obsessive about making sure that the debt balances on my DMP are 100% accurate so I'll check anything I can easily access online at least once a week and once a month for any not available to view online by calling the creditor/DCA...
Then when you add in my regular overpayments! LOL
But like you, I feel in control and can see it going down and can tell you to the penny what I owe
Much better than in the past when it was all vague numbers and guess work

Yep, I actually get a bit twitchy if my spend diary isn't up to date. Then again I use excel most of the day everyday for my job so I guess I'm naturally a little numbers obsessed!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Yes, that was me.
Even when I was bored at work, I would get a scrap of paper and write down what I owed and how much was due that month to cover the payment and how much the balance would reduce to.0 -
Hi, my name is Chris and I'm a spreadsheetaholic!
I usually check my spreasheet each day but only if I know bills are due and / or if I have spent money that day.

Daily I check my bank balance and update my spending diary the minute I have spent anything. It's good to be obsessive it helps you realise that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. L2B.xLBM 2008 [STRIKE]£45,091.23[/STRIKE] eek: now £7889:T Debt free date 18/07/20180
