No problem, i'll resend
Sorry i missed your question on an earlier reply; I have not had a bill since 12th January. £90 was collected yesterday and the £5 was showing as the amount online last night which prompted my call today. Perhaps crossed wires somewhere...0 -
Thank you,
Yes let's get this looked at properly.

Their excuse is always that they need an agent to read the meter.
I certainly don't recognise the stated procedures in this news thread......
This is incorrect, they don't need a meter reader to read the meter you can supply the readings. Ask to speak to a manager if they tell you this again.
The procedures will be changing so everyone gets an automatic refund of any credit in future, before it used to be anything over £60 - in theory.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
This is a rubbish idea. A lot of people are happy to leave a credit on their account for a start.
Also the whole idea behind having a FIXED Direct Debit is you are likely to be in credit at the end of summer, ready for the winter period when usage goes up.
If everyone gets that credit refunded then it means Direct Debits will have to go up to cover the increase in consumption for winter and then there will be an even bigger credit next year.
The government don't appear to know what they are doing.
The best solution would be to force energy companies to give refunds when requested within a reasonable time scale and to fine them and/or force them to pay compensation to customers if they don't do this.
But that would require a regulator with teeth.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -

I found a Final Gas bill in credit by £153 after moving from EDF to Scottish Power back in August 2012. I phoned EDF this morning and within half an hour had an email giving all figures which I could verify, turns out they didn't owe me the £153 but have to hand it to them for looking into it so quickly and efficiently. Praise where due!0

Not according to Npower - only official meter readings are taken into account for refund purposes. I am now actually over £500 pound in credit and recently had the absurd situation that even after a recent meter read which I could actually see on my login account - Npower say this wasn't visible to them at their end and that they also need my new and old meter serial numbers which surely they should have via the guy who just updated my meter - their agent! The whole thing stinks so don't believe the theory when the practice is a absolute shambles. Once I have my money, it's bye bye Npower and good riddance.0 -
