Why are they able to harass me when if they're owned by the same person and i'm on the same database - they know i'm happy with my current contract?

What do they want from me and how can I stop it? Please help!! I'm spending more time on the phone that actually running my shop Thanks for all replies

What you need to do is call your Telecommunication Provider & simply ask to block the number. I was harassed continuously by the same number for a week or so offering unbelievable prices for a new contract with them. I'm also using Opus and it isn't my first contractor , so I know what real deals & what are not from my experience. I wonder if these guys somehow got opus customer base information.
Those guys were using another phone number as well for promotions, I had to threaten of suing them to get myself off their hook, was so annoying & I completely understand your position, feeling sorry for you claire2k1.

I can so empathise with Claire2k1 - this company have been driving me mad. I cannot understand why more is not being done to make people aware of this scam and put a stop to it.

If they are ringing your mobile, you can block the number with smart app.

Hi everyone,

It’s about time someone exposed Inspired Energi PLC and Energisave Online Ltd for what they are a total scam.

I worked there briefly last year and was horrified by what was going on and what I was being asked to say and do.

First thing was I was told to think of a name, excuse me but I already have a name I replied.

No love you don’t understand an alias is what you need, why I replied. Because some of the customers are quite switched on was the response.

Everyone who worked on the sales side was using a fake name.

I was trained to come across as a regulatory body rather than a broker and to explain that we have been put in place to register all change of tenancies and that we represent all suppliers.

We were told to say we don’t get any money for switching you suppliers its just what we have been put in place to do.

This is blatant lies as they only represent Opus Energy Ltd and whatever your circumstances that is who you are going to be recommended.

In order to recommend Opus Energy we had to make up fake rates from the other suppliers. So British Gas was always more expensive, Eon too, Npower, Scottish Power etc.

Energi save doesn’t have a website, we were told to use Inspired Energy’s instead, apparently they have credibility cos they are a PLC.

Avoid this company at all costs. Ive had first hand experience of how they operate.

I can totally see your frustration, I get these type of phone calls all the time! It's a shame they can't be prosecuted for harrassment!!!

So glad I found this forum! WOW, where do I start?

I recently opened up a new business and I have started to receive lots of calls from utility brokers, in particular Energisave. They were by far the most aggressive and eventually I took their call to get them off my back.


They told me that they were in charge of change of tenancy and had been put in place by OFGEM. They claim that they do not get paid for anything they do.


They have tried to quote me prices for both my shop and next door as well. why I would want to change next doors electricity, I have no idea? I assume this is to benefit from another payday.


Then then gave me what I later found out to be fake prices for several suppliers including British Gas, Scottish Power and Npower. They recommended a supplier I had never heard of called OPUS, no surprise after reading the previous threads hey!

Ironically their prices for OPUS were significantly more expensive than other brokers had given me, does this mean they can charge what they want ripping people off and earn more money??


Best part is I RECORDED the whole conversation and have since forwarded this to OFGEM/OPUS and the UIA.


OPUS are looking into what they call the miss sell allegations (how it can be an allegation when its all recorded I have no idea!!!).


The lady at OPUS says they have the power to terminate Energisave, be interesting to see if they do anything or if they are actually in cahoots with them.

That has to be (I hope) shocking mismanagement. I would be tempted to switch provider completely and let the currently providing company know why I was switching.
Can you get the calls screened by your telephone provider?
