in Credit cards
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I currently have 2 credit cards, one with 1,400 debt on a Barclaycard and one with £600 on a Halifax credit card debt. I am also in my overdraft limit (Barclays bank account) by £800. I tried to get an interest free credit card with capital one, but my limit is only £200. I am desperately trying to get a loan to reduce interest and consolidate debts; i have been in this situation far too long and due to the interest it just seems to be getting worse!
I am struggling to get a loan because i have recently moved and am not going to be registered on the electoral role until april, but i cant wait until then. I am so desperate to get this sorted as its just getting so depressing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Max

Hi and welcome to the forum
What are the APRs on each of the cards? and the limits?
Have you moved any of the debt to capital one yet? what is the capital one deal (fee and interest free period)?
Are you able to make the minimum payments on the cards currently? (and not go further in to your overdraft).
You may be better posting on the debt free wannabe section of the forum for some advice on managing your debts. If you cannot currently get accepted for new credit products then you need to work out how best to manage with the current debts and accounts. Debt-Free Wannabe
Have you worked out an income & expenditure account and what you have available to repay towards these debts each month?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Ask your existing cards if they will give 0% for transfers, then cross transfer. Plus ask about 0% on purchases and buy everything on CC whilst reducing the OD.
Really it seems you are living beyond your income and you need to look at reducing your outgoings.0
