Broadband "out of Area"

Im with TTalk and must say no problems but I have an EE mobil contract phone which would give me a reduced cost if I moved to EEbroadband. However EE say they cannot give me UNLIMITED BB as Im out of their area.I could have Limited BB but its expensive!
Ive also tried Tesco and some other cheap offers but no go because of being out of their area. Im not exactly living in the Sticks!! but other than TT and BT the offers that are advertised are very limited.
To really confuse the issue my next door neighbour is on Unlimited BB with EE. I can only assume EE dont want any NEW customers on Unlimited BB in this area.
Looks like I will carry on with TalkTalk.

If they can provide you with broadband, then they should be able to provide you with either or (its just a different way of charging you).
They may have crossed wires & be talking about their 4G mobile internet service which could possibly have poor signal in your area.
Might be worthwhile going back & clarifying this point with them.0 -
It sounds like they can't provide you with broadband service on their own equipment due to no available slots left to connect you up to.
There is limited room on the ISP's equipment and limited room inside the exchange building to install more when it's full. If there is no more room, they can provide you with service via BT Wholesales equipment.
The problem with this is they have to pay a subcharge to BT to use it and how much you use it.
So it works out more expensive and they can't offer it as unlimited in these scenarios. All your base are belong to us.0 -
thanks this did cross my mind but I spoke to them and they said "we are not allowed to give unlimited BB in this area"
on their webpage as soon as I enter postcode the webpage flashes thro the cheaper unlimited to another page showing £26 for 20G plus landline.
I reckon EE dont want to pay BT for more unlimited use customers here.
I will leave it for a while before committing to any new contracts. Thanks .0 -
Thanks yes I reckon its a case of EE having to pay BT for unlimited use0

If i remember correctly, BT Wholesale charge for any data used over 20GB.
With one of the ISP's i had worked with, they used over 1TB in a month on a BT equipment area and it cost the ISP approx £733 in charges from BTAll your base are belong to us.0 -
Pretty sure all EE broadband is BT Wholesale now, and they don't have their own kit in exchanges.0
