flight delays reply from thompsons

Hi i recently submitted a claims letter to Thompson holidays regarding a flight me and my wife was delayed on from the Dominican Republic flying bak into Manchester in Feb 2011, where we delayed 4.40 hours after our arrival time in Manchester.
i sent off all information relating to my claim i.e. flight stats, date ticket confirmation and distances in kilometres, i sent directly to Thompsons official customer complaints deptment, received a complaint number then only to find a reply within 14 days to say that due to a high court ruling within the UK that there is no claim as within the UK all claims have to be arranged prior to the 2 years, after reading the forum pages i still feel that Thompsons or giving me the run around as i still feel my claim is a valid one as if i am reading the forurm correctly that the high court case was for other reasons.
Could any one give me the advise one way or another.
Regards

I don't think there is anything in your posting that isn't dealt with by information on the forum - which is self-help as far as rountine queries like yours is concerned.. If you prefer, you could speak to a no win no fee firm.0 -
I quite like the calm and measured way that newbies deal with the revelation of information that could net them a grand :rotfl:
Was that a thank you? Nah... thought not0 -

It's one of those who post a question and never log back in.0
