Ha ha!!! Just this minute got the post (it's really late round here - useless PO!). Low and behold, a letter form Rossendale Scammers relating to an Excel/Roxburghe/Graham White/Michael Sobell invoice from four years ago. This matter was completely ignored at the time.

So, just to confirm - ignore?

It's actually for my son who moved out three years ago (I still open his mail to this address, with his permission). I'm thinking perhaps when the follow-up letter comes I send it back unopened as "no longer at this address". Any thoughts?

Here's the letter we just received:

I cannot understand how, in 2014 in the United Kingdom, anyone is allowed to send out such intimidating correspondence. Very many people would capitulate on receiving this type of toilet paper in the post, and pay up. It beggars belief that the perpetrators are not up before the courts.

    Short reply

"I owe Rossendales nothing and that is precisely what I intend to pay you.

If your client believes I owe them anything, then under English Law it is up to them to initiate any legal action.

    Yours faithfully"

    Hi

i received in january a letter from rossendales collect demanding £136 for a parking ticket from excel parking that i never received, i rang they told me to ring excel which i did who told me to sent the appeal by email which i also did sending copies to rossendales, watchdog and popla, all i got back was automated messages.

Last week i got another letter from rossendales saying because i had not been in contact they would be taking the matter to court, i again rang excel, popla and rossendales. I have had no response by letter or email and have told them that the do not intimidate me as they have both broken the code of practice.

Are they likely to take it to court? Or should i dig deep and just ignore them or reply by email so i have proof i have replied to their correspondence have sent 15 emails already?
I am having the same problem...this company have taken over an alleged parking ticket.
Whilst i am not contesting a ticket that i am unaware of ....it is their own policy that is incorrect....it says that excel either put a ticket on my car...which they never or they posted the ticket ..which they never...i have asked for proof of either photo or postal evidence ..they have failed to respond to this after initially saying they would provide it. So how the hell can a company take on an alleged debt they know nothing about and the full information of response has not been handed over ?
