Mention itto facilities management as they should be the department that oversee the private company.0

Serving hundreds of people per day... so the benefit what £3 per day.
Harding hits the risk:reward ratio of committing fraud. So I highly doubt it would be anything sinister0 -

There is a notice next to the tills and menus stating that NHS staff receive 20% discount on all home cooked food.
Yes I may be picky over a few pence, being overcharged around 8-10p every day for a breakfast soon mounts up, most staff I talk to say since the private firm took over the catering the prices have gone up, portions reduced and the quality of food is of poorer quality.
Surely if the company rip staff customers off on a daily basis they should be liable to the same punishment as Asda or Tescos would receive if they did this to their customers0 -
Or:-
30p = VAT free price = 25p
Discount price = 20.0p
Discount price + VAT = 24.0p - so it can't be that?
I'm wondering if the amount is subsidised rather than discounted, in which case the VAT would be on the full amount.
OP, can you give us some other examples please?
I doubt very much that this is fraud, but more a computing error.0 -
THE PRIVITISATION OF THE NHS...ARRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Mention it to the beings that be and then move on with your life0 -
Another example is 56p item with 20% discount costs 47p.
Hmmm,
I thought 20% off would be 11.2p rounded to 11p
my regular order of 30p, 30p, 57p, 57p (£1.74) should be discounted by 20% yet they always charge me £1.44.
May only be 4 or 5p depending how you discount but surely management should be able to do the maths0 -
OP, have you asked the manager of the restaurant how they are working out the discount?
Looks to me that they are being far from honest.0 -

What exactly is and can be classed as 'home cooked food'?0 -
Home cooked food is basically all cooked breakfast, lunch and tea meals.
Pre-packed sandwiches Danish pastries, cookies are excluded and charged full prices just like all beverages0
