Letter from DFD

Any ideas on what I should be asking DFD other than is signing likely to cause any significant delay to completion of the IVA?
.
I would ask them to spell out what the advantages are to you (not to them or to the creditors) of you signing this. And whether there are any possible disadvantages.0 -

I am sure the loan brokers and IVA industry reps would love to openly post here, unfortunately MSE do not allow it.
A great shame, as it would be nice to get opinion from 'all sides' so to speak.
Hi
I don't think anyone on here would object to DFD & involved secured loan brokers coming on here answering questions or making clear and precise statements on the issues raised in this thread.
Do they actually fully do this on the other forum by the way? what I mean is do they or would they answer the questions and or make clear and precise statements, not sure they do from what I have read anyway (of course I stand being corrected)
They may well get the chance soon however which could be very interesting and of course we shall see.

I got one of these letters from DFD (IVA came to an end in November 2013).
Basically, they told me they couldn't 'sign off' my IVA as there were still two PPI claims yet to be made on loans within the IVA, and they wanted me to sign a form authorising their chums at Equity in Finance to pursue these claims on behalf of the IVA.
The proposed variation to be put to the creditors' vote was whether or not they would agree to the closure of the IVA whilst PPI claims were still pending and, if they voted yes, my certificate of completion could be issued. The meeting was due to be on 1 April (ah, the irony) but I got an email from DFD a couple of days ago, which said:
"I write to advise you that the variation meeting has been adjourned and will now take place on Monday 14th April 2014 at 1:56pm. The meeting has been adjourned at the request of your creditors, who need more time to prepare and lodge their votes.
You do not need to take any action.
If you would like any further information regarding the proposal or this adjournment, then please refer to the frequently asked questions on our website at https://www.debtfreedirect.co.uk/variation-faqs/."
There wasn't anything helpful on the FAQs though.
Hope this helps. x
