Stock and Shares ISA

Im in the process of applying for an Iweb self select stock and shares isa. My question is when i "subscribe" which i take it means deposit money into the account, what rate dose it stay at when its sitting in the Isa. I want to buy a number of shares i have been looking at, in different company's but not until i decide the time is rite.
Also can i transfer some of my money from my existing savings isa into the Iweb account.
