My main problem with cycling is that the trolls we tend to attract in cycling related threads seem to be of a very poor standard compared to some of the other trolls on here.
I demand a better quality of troll who at least posts things that make sense and have some sort of point!0 -

I wear a helmet when i'm doing something i deem dangerous or high risk.
Usually when doing cross country cycling where rocks are about, but not always.
Never wear it on the road or cycle paths though.
Reason? It's uncomfortable. It takes enjoyment away from my cycle and i feel less free
From the thousands of miles i've cycled during my life and the dozens of times i've fallen off i've only hit my head once. Split it open but no stiches needed and no problems apart from a cut and some blood.
I'm confident enough with my cycling that i'm only likely to fall off when doing something high risk, hence wearing it then.
Most helmets offer minimal protection anyway. I've hit my head worse when falling on the ice before whilst walking and we don't encourage people to wear helmets when walking outside when it's slippy. All your base are belong to us.0 -
