If the 3250 has the same menu structure as my 4250, place scan item on glass, press Home to wake the machine, and press Scan. The LH button of three below the display is save/forward, which allows you to select whether to e-mail the scan, save it to memory card, or forward to a PC on the network. In this option, select the PC you want to use, select document type, and press black or colour to Scan. THEN it will 'do something'

It doesn't have same menu structure but thanks anyway. I moved it next to the wifi & the PC & it still wouldn't connect so I took it back & swapped it for an HP. I can get that to work with iPad mini & the desktop pc but can't get the other two iPhones to work with it . One is iphone4 one is iphone5s. So I've started a separate thread to get help with that! Then if I can get that fixed then Im hoping the grand kids should be able to use it with their iPad, iPod and iPhones when they come home.

I don't know what to say to this. Despite me saying that the Canon 4250, when connected to our network just worked straight off, with no issues, and printed/scanned immediately from/to PC, laptop, and two different iPads, you forsook the Canons for a totally different brand and now can't get that to work either.

I didn't 'install' Airprint or any other app on the iPads - they just worked.

I installed the printer/scanner drivers to the PCs.
  • Yes, you do need the scanner drivers installed on the PCs for it to communicate through the LAN, well you do for my computers on my home network. (I've no Apple devices but then they gave you no problems ;-) )

Probably applies to HP as well as Canon - but I have a canon
    Friendly greeting!
